PORTICA on course for success with sales promotions

Kempen. PORTICA is seeing real growth in one of its core business fields – sales promotions. Another well-known beverage brand has now chosen the marketing support specialist to handle a rewards scheme, benefitting from a wide range of services all delivered from a single source.

The beverage manufacturer tasked PORTICA with implementing a series of different promotions intended to increase sales of its products. The company had previously raised its standards for both logistical and customer service processes. “We were able to make a real impression thanks not only to our processing and shipping services, but also our high-quality customer service skills”, explained Marcus Dassen, head of the department supporting the project.

PORTICA stores the beverage manufacturer’s rewards and communicates with consumers. The campaign management system PORTICA wcm is used as the central control system. It first captures data related to the promotion, either from a specially-designed microsite or through manual input. The data is then stored centrally for further processing, including checking that requests for rewards are valid and sending a response to the consumer’s application. Receiving a request for a reward begins the process of shipping the appropriate item, thanks to an interface with the enterprise resource planning system PORTICA erp. The campaign management system records all transactions in a central location, in a revision-safe format.

All of this information is then available to hotline employees, for example, when they need to provide information to participants in the promotion regarding the state of their application. PORTICA’s customer manager receives raw data from both PORTICA wcm and PORTICA erp which can then be turned into statistical information and progress reports according to the client’s needs. These reports provide an ongoing picture of the situation so that the promotion can be evaluated and tweaked as necessary.

The scalability of PORTICA wcm also demonstrates another of its strengths. The tool can be configured and adjusted to meet the requirements of each promotion, making it ideal for projects of any scale, for seasonal or event-based reward schemes, and for campaigns addressing end consumers or commercial parties – or even both.
